It sounds like the Hawks are set on Shelden Williams. This draft seems like it really lacks anyone the Hawks could immediately use- i.e. a Center or Point Guard. I’d rather see them trade the pick for a veteran.

My former assistant coach Lewis, his wife, Ismail and I went to the game on Sunday vs. the Diamondbacks. What a disaster- gettting swept at home vs. Arizona!?!?

Schuerholz, I beg you- please make a move or two to instill some life in this team. What I saw on Sunday vs. Arizona was pure garbage. No heart (except for Renteria) and little excitement. It seems like the team is just going through the motions.

As usual, Reitsma gets bombed. It was a 5-3 game until he came in; it was 9-3 after he gave up two HRs. It was good to hear the Braves fans passionate for once- there was a loud boo for him when he entered and after each HR. I just don’t see how they can contine to go Reitsma after the last two years where he’s shown that he can’t deliver the goods.

Francoeur- 4 Ks. Stop fucking swinging at every god-damned pitch.

I leave for Germany this Wednesday- I pray that I will come back to the US with the Braves within 5 games; it’s more likely with this bunch that they will be 12-13 out.

Don’t know if any of you guys are proficient with MySpace, but I heard that Joe Johnson, Esteban Batista and Ty Lue all have MySpace pages that they update “all the time,” and that Ty Lue has pictures of all his “hoes” on there. Anyone able to find them?

Dave somehow scored some tickets to Tuesday’s game againts the Dodgers. So it was Daves III - V and I at the game. As we were approaching the Fulton Street exit I noted how this was the earliest I had gotten to a game all season. Dave told me it was Andrew Jones Statue giveaway night. Sweet! Dave dropped Mr. G and I off so we could try and get a couple. We ended up with some of the last ones. The game was pretty good up until the 8th when the Bullpen imploded. They ended up giving up 5 runs in the 8th and 9th. Final: 8 -3 Dodgers. One highlight was Andrew making a forward diving catch which looked eerily similar to the statues given out at the gate.
