This is the last home game before the five game road trip; we really need a win to set the team off in the right direction. No AJ for today-a one game suspension for the Flagrant Foul in Friday’s Toronto loss.
Today’s game will be a family affair for us as Janet, Ismail, Olivia and I are all going to the matinee.

The Hawks blew an early 1st Quarter lead, played neck-and-neck for the next two quarters, then resorted to their usual 4th Quarter collapse antics. However, they made a late, improbable comeback to send it to OT. However, in the extra period, they couldn’t play any defense and the Blazers took advantage of that, hitting essentially every big shot they took. A game the Hawks defeinitely could’ve won had they been able to hit their shots and played a little more defense. Overall, an entertaining game with lots of scoring and up-tempo play.
The attendance was over 17K; it seemed like everyone and their mother had free ticket vouchers, hence the large crowd. Even the top section, usually tarped off, was open and mostly full.
The Spin: Another chip clip for me, Enter to Win for Janet
That was a game they needed to win as Portland was playing the sixth game in a seven game road trip and the Hawks are headed for a five game West Coast trip. I’m thinking 2-3 on the upcoming trip. I’d actually be happy with that at this point.
