I’ve complained about Woody’s give-it-to-Joe-and-let-him-dribble-till-he-gets-open-for-the-shot play before when he’s called it late in games. On Friday night though, against the Magic, it worked. It could be that he added the don’t-dribble-into-the-corner wrinkle, or maybe the Magic is no good. Either way, it was a fun competitive game throughout. Dwight Howard is a man-child.
One Response for "Woody’s a Genius"
Yeah, the Woody special finally worked. Steve and I saw him in the middle of the huddle calling it, too: “OK, OK. I got dis one. Wallace, you throw it in. Rip, you jess need to get open, my dog. When you get the ball, just hoop it.” He paused, then looked around the disinterested huddle. He continued, “If Rip don’t get open, jess pass it to the honkey and he’ll shoot that J.” It was pretty cool to see it unfold like it did.
