Great comeback win last night vs. the Wiz, especially without Horford in the lineup. Down four with a minute left, I thought the Hawks were dead. Marvin's three was huge! He really does seem like he's increased his range.

Hopefully, they'll be able to take care of business tomorrow night at home vs. the Bobcats.

Tough loss last night. I was really surprised when so many pundits predicted the Hawks to miss the playoffs. I think they will make it in the 6th-8th position. The bench is definitely better at the 2 and 3 spots but the big man issue is still a problem. Did they think Morris would be the answer?

The Hawks schedule is brutal; not only did they have 7 games in the past 11 days, but starting tomorrow, they also have a 7 games in 12 days (includes three back-to-back nights) stretch coming up. The scheduling this season is piss-poor; I can't ever remember it being this unbalanced.

I went last night in Jersey when they lost, and they're pretty worn out right now (they've had 7 games in the last 11 days). Plus, with Zaza and Josh out, they've all had to log more minutes, and we're losing the rebounding battles. I think once we get some rest and get healthy, we'll be right back up there. And there's an 8 game homestand coming up in December, which should be nice.

I still think we need one more big guy, maybe a veteran to come off the bench. Because right now we have to go small way too much. McDyess would be a great fit, but I don't know if they want to pay him.

I was convinced that Pierce was going to do one of his patented flop moves at the end and get the foul call, so as much as I hated to see him make that shot, I was glad that it wasn't based on a referee's decision.

I'm really impressed by Marvin's shooting so far. His shot always looked good to me, but now he's consistently hitting from outside -- even from 3 point range...something he definitely didn't do last year.

I know Horford was in early foul trouble, but I still don't think Woodson did the right thing taking him out for almost all of the 1st half. I felt like he never got back in the flow of the game after that.

Definitely a great game and an awesome showing by the Hawks.

RIP, Dolemite. I'd never heard about him passing away until now. To be honest, I didn't realize that he had still been alive because I haven't seen or heard anything about him in years.

Hard to say-it basically became a Betemit for Ridgway trade; Betemit didn't really pan out like people predicted that he would, so it wasn't a total loss. Ridgway didn't pitch enough (10 games, 1-0, 3.72 ERA)for the Braves to decide whether or not he was a good pick-up. However, if it was between having Aybar play the 2008 for the Braves the way he has for TB vs. Ridgway pitching 10 games, I would definitely go Aybar.

Which trade was worse, Betemit for Baez and Aybar, or Aybar for Ridgeway?

I've only seen one Tech game on TV this year up here in NYC (it was the Duke game), and Tech seemed like they really had to wear Duke down for three quarters before putting them away in the fourth. Lots of ball control, pounding the line, etc. I know it's not that exciting but to me that shows some semblance of them being a good team, that they can control a game. UGA tends to do the same thing, and it results in neither team winning by huge margins. I think the voters just mostly voting based on the final scores, not on how the games are actually played.

I would generally agree but LSU lost their last regular season game last year and still made it to the big game.
